Signed a research contract with Korea Center for Disease Control & Prevention List

Theragen Etex Bio Institute signed a research contract with Korea Center for Disease Control & Prevention on October 10 to analyze the distribution of gene mutations in the alcohol metabolism enzymes of Koreans and to analyze the correlation related diseases.

East Asian people have a lot of toxic genetic variants that are less effective in metabolizing (deciphering) alcohol than Westerners.

In Korea, alcohol consumption per capita continues to grow. In addition, Korean drinking culture exposes people to an environment where drinking continues. Because of these circumstances, people who are born with weak genes in the metabolism of alcohol will have various diseases such as esophageal cancer and stomach cancer.
