TheragenEtex, First in Industry to Commercializes its Own Exclusive ‘Customized Genome Analysis Chip’  List

TheragenEtex Bio Institute has developed ‘Theragen Customized Genome Analysis Chip’ and is launching research and big data based genetic testing service through the chip.

 

It is Korea’s first case to see development and commercialization of a company’s own genome analysis chip solely through own unique technology.

 

Based on ‘Asian Customized Genome Analysis Chip’ developed by Thermo Fisher Scientific, the U.S. company, TheragenEtex gathered accumulated know-how in genome analysis and has recently developed ‘Theragen PMRA (Precision Medicine Research Array) Chip’.

 

‘Theragen PMRA Chip’ has its strength in analyzing 820,000 large-scale gene variants in the equivalent period and accuracy as the existing methods.

 

Analysis through ‘Theragen PMRA Chip’ takes approximately 2 weeks and indicates 99.8 percent re-detection rate and more than 95 percent coverage in genomic representation.
